S & D ACCREDITED FOR ISO/ IEC 17025

S & D Laboratory has been awarded ISO 17025 accreditation from Sri Lanka Accreditation Board (SLAB) in August 2019. This accreditation, along with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 certifications obtained in 2017, confirms S & D commitment to ensuring the highest levels of competence and work ethics. ISO 17025 accreditation helps us to establish accurate and precise test results which will enable our customers to address the need for environment conservation and product health in a more efficient and reliable way with us.

Further achieving ISO 17025 assures the validity and appropriateness of test methods which use to analyze raw material, intermediates, finished products as well as waste water in order to comply with global & buyer specified standards including MRSLs & RSLs.

S & D’s high-performance analytic laboratory with state-of-the-art analytical devices and specialized staff are conformed by accreditation through SLAB according to ISO 17025. ISO/IEC 17025:2005

ISO/IEC 17025 is the standard for which laboratories must hold accreditation in order to be deemed technically competent. In many cases, suppliers and regulatory authorities will not accept test or calibration results from a laboratory that is not accredited. Originally known as ISO/IEC Guide 25, ISO/IEC 17025 was initially issued by the International Organization for Standardization in 1999. ISO/IEC 17025 is more specific in requirements for competence and applies directly to those organizations that produce testing and calibration results and is based on somewhat more technical principles. Laboratories use ISO/IEC 17025 to implement a quality system aimed at improving their ability to consistently produce valid results.
