Innovation and technology are the key drivers in the successful growth of a business, which enhance the efficiency of the manufacturing processes and hence the finished products, while maintaining the highest levels of environmental and social sustainability.
Our highly trained and experienced R&D team is well equipped and hence provides continuous technical guidance during the product development stages as well as during the production phase. Moreover, our team is always ready to offer guaranteed end product technical assistance to our valued customers as and when is required.
Through the use of sophisticated analytical equipment in our in house accredited laboratory, various production parameters at identified frequencies are tested, thereby enabling the analysis of product quality as well as the detection of the presence of any hazardous substances or impurities in the desired, finished products. Analysis for unreacted monomers is performed with the aid of the Headspace GC/MS and the HPLC, while the Headspace GC/MS, HPLC and the UV/Vis Spectrophotometer are all used for the analysis of restricted compounds. With the ICP-AES, toxic metals and elements for formulation are analyzed. For identification of chemical structures, the Headspace GC/MS and the FT-IR are utilized. Extracting and preconcentrating of samples are performed with the use of the Soxhlet Apparatus and the Rotary Evaporator respectively. In addition, steamers, low liquor ratio washing machines, soft flow jet dyeing machines, padding machines, curing ovens, spray booths, extractors, dryers, dry process equipment, etc. are also available thereby enabling the application testing of fabric and coloured textiles.
S&D has and will continue to invest in R&D, to set the stage for our chemists and engineers to transform novel ideas to innovative sustainable solutions. Therefore, our expertise and laboratory capabilities together, enable us to constantly innovate specially developed formulations that are flexible, cost-efficient and eco-friendly for our valued customers involved in the textile manufacturing and garment wet processing industries.
Innovative value-added products, tailor made to the the customers’ end-use are developed by continuously transforming our fashion ideas to reality. In S&D, a broad range of textile auxiliaries that offer excellent end results on a wide variety of cellulosic and synthetic fabrics and blends are designed to provide solutions for textile wet processing applications such as continuous and discontinuous pretreatment, dyeing, finishing and printing.
In our journey towards a sustainable future, through the adoption of highly scientific integrated approaches, we optimize our processes that would correspond to a significant reduction in capital as well as operating costs. Hence, through process optimization, resource productivity by reduced consumption of energy, water and raw materials, environmental cleanliness by reduced emissions to the environment, occupational health and safety and quality assurance are enhanced, while ensuring that we adhere to all legal requirements enforced by the relevant local and international regulatory bodies and target markets.
